February 24, 2022 is Fat Thursday (\u201cDijous Gras\u201d)<\/strong>, the beginning of the first carnivals after the pandemic. For aprox one week, the towns of the Maresme region<\/a><\/strong> will live these festivities intensely. All those towns have different and funny proposals for this year’s carnivals.<\/p>\n

Badalona<\/h2>\n

Saturday 26, 5 pm<\/strong>, Torre Mena (C\/ Reus \/ pl Amistat). Proclamation the Carnestoltes Queen and her court, and they star the passacaglia music along Badalona streets.<\/p>\n

Saturday, 26, 7 p.m<\/strong>., Trafalgar Square. Costume dance.<\/p>\n

Cabrera de Mar<\/a><\/h2>\n

Cabrera de Mar<\/a> recovers its face-to-face carnival with two costume contests, one for children and one for adults, with 3 categories (individual, couple and troupe).<\/p>\n

Friday 25, 6 pm<\/strong>, municipal envelat. Children’s entertainment and children’s costume contest.<\/p>\n

Friday 25, 6 pm<\/strong>, municipal envelat. Costume contest for adults and Carnestoltes dances.<\/p>\n

Monday 28, 5:30 p.m<\/strong>., Casal de la gent gran El Castellet. Musical show \u201cThe show must go on\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, 1, 20 pm<\/strong>, municipal envelat. The Ball of Momerotes will precede the funeral march that will begin at 10 pm.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 2, 7 pm<\/strong>, Can Martinet terrace. Farewell to Carnestoltes with the traditional testament reading followed by the sardine funeral.<\/p>\n

Matar\u00f3<\/h2>\n

Matar\u00f3<\/a>, the Maresme<\/a> Capital<\/strong> recovers the most important act of its carnival, the parade.<\/p>\n

Friday, 25, 9 p.m<\/strong>., Plaza del Ajuntament. The Botargues will appear at the Pati del Caf\u00e8 Nou and, together with the Momerota and the Momerotetaes, will go to the Town Hall where Pellofa XLIV will make his proclamation.<\/p>\n

Saturday 26, 11:30 a.m<\/strong>., Central Park. Ball de Gitanes organized by the Associaci\u00f3 Cultural Mestres del Gai Saber with the Cobla la Principal de la Bisbal and the Esbart Rocasagna de Gelida, the Moss\u00e8n Bisc\u00fater and the Ball de Gitanes de Matar\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Saturday 26, 12 noon<\/strong>, Plaza Onze de Setembre, Parade of the Xirigotes organized by the Associaci\u00f3 Cultural Cita Flamenca with the Comparsa Gaditana from Barcelona, \u200b\u200bthe Chirigota from Barcelona and the Comparsa de los Hermanos M\u00e1rquez.<\/p>\n

Saturday 26, 6 pm<\/strong>, Cerdanyola Park. Carnival Rua with live music with five groups or musical brass bands. Once the parade is over and the prizes have been awarded, a carnival dance with the La Tropical Orchestra.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 2, 6 p.m<\/strong>., Parc Central. Burial of En Pellofa.<\/p>\n

Monday 28, 12 noon<\/strong>, Escola La Li\u00f3 courtyard. Circus show with Cia Los Herrerita.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 2, 5:30 p.m<\/strong>., Pa\u00efsos Catalans Square. Testament of King Carnestoltes and Burial of the sardine.<\/p>\n

Sant Andreu de Llavaneres<\/a><\/h2>\n

Llavaneres<\/a><\/strong> recovers the parade but there will be no costume contest or dance to avoid contagion.<\/p>\n

Saturday 26, 6 p.m<\/strong>. Parade will run through the center streets. In the Ca l’Alfaro park there will be a finale performance by the Xarop de Canya animation group. Ultraescenika and Els Batubanyuts will also participate.<\/p>\n

Vilassar de Dalt<\/a><\/h2>\n

Vilassar de Dalt<\/a> Carnival<\/strong> will came back with the traditional parade and the tortilla competition.<\/p>\n

Thursday 24, 8 pm<\/strong>, L’Estrella. Tortilla contest.<\/p>\n

Sunday 27, 11 a.m<\/strong>., Les Escoles. The parade will run through the streets Ignasi Bufal\u00e0, Manuel Moreno, Anselm Clav\u00e9, Nou, Mestra Viladrosa, \u00c0ngel Guimer\u00e0 and will end in the Plaza de la Vila where the verdict of the costume contest will be announced.<\/p>\n

This year a costume ball will replace the Carnival parade.<\/strong> For the sanitary restrictions have changed the traditional parade for dance. The dance will be enlivened by the covers group The Covers Band and some surprises.<\/p>\n

Sunday 27, 12 noon<\/strong>, Plaza del C\u00edrcol. XLV Carnestoltes Firobi, with the show La festa dels salats, by the company from Lleida, Encara farem salat.<\/p>\n

Sunday 27, 5:30 p.m<\/strong>., Maria Roser Carrau Cultural Hall. The company The gecko con botas represents the family show \u201cAventura en estel\u201d.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 2<\/strong>. Burial of the sardine with a parade enlivened by Aval and Mansuets de Foc, Can Bisa to the Plaza del Ajuntament.<\/p>\n
