The situation caused by the Covid pandemic meant that the 2021 edition<\/a> of the Fira Internacional de Cer\u00e0mica Argill\u00e0 Argentona<\/a> <\/strong>caused most of the activities to be concentrated in a single space, the Bernat de Riudemeia school. The success of last year’s edition, and the excellent assessment made by the attending public of this event, has led the organizers to repeat the experience for this edition, which will take place between July 1 and 3.<\/p>\n

The Argill\u00e0 Argentona<\/a> International Ceramics Fair 2022 will take place in the aforementioned school and the workshops and educational activities will be held in the Plaza de la Esgl\u00e9sia, very close to the Fira.<\/p>\n

For this edition, 60 potters have been selected, mainly from Catalonia and the rest of the state, as well as representatives from France, Morocco, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Poland and Ecuador. Some of the participants of this year’s edition repeat and the guest country is France. A dozen participants arrive from the neighboring country, who will be located in an exclusive space within the fairgrounds of the Bernat de Riudemeia school.<\/p>\n

Also noteworthy is the presence of 17 French artists who will star in the exhibition that can be visited at the Museu del C\u00e0ntir and which will be entitled \u201cCer\u00e0mica contempor\u00e0nia Fran\u00e7aise. Artists from the Viviane S\u201d collection<\/strong>. Other activities will include the film exhibition “Ciner\u00e0mica 2022”<\/strong> which will be dedicated to the French artists participating in the exhibition, and a conference by one of them, the ceramist Jean Girel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the fairgrounds and at the museum you can buy the pitcher of the year 2022, which this year is the work of the architect and designer Carme Pin\u00f3s<\/strong>. This pitcher is presented at a press conference on Friday, 17 at 12 noon at the Museu del C\u00e0ntir with the presence of the artist.<\/p>\n
