Just three kilometers separate the Alta Alella winery from the Barcelona<\/a> Maresme coast<\/a>, which can be discovered from this family winery that makes the best cava in Spain and has been committed to organic and biodynamic wines for years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winery by the Pujol-Busquets family, which has become a benchmark for the small Alella Designation of Origin<\/strong>, has managed to win a coveted award in the current Pe\u00f1\u00edn Guide 2023: being the best cava in Spain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the second year consecutive, the Gu\u00eda Pe\u00f1\u00edn magazine, the most prestigious international cava magazine, has chosen the Alta Alella 10 Gran Reserva as the best cava of the denomination of origin. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Two other cavas from the winery continue on the podium: Alta Alella Mirgin Exeo Paraje Calificado Vallcirera 2016 and Alta Alella Mirgin Exeo Evoluci\u00f3+ Gran Reserva 2005.<\/p>\n

In this edition, the two vintages of the Pujol-Busquets Family collection wine, 2010 and 2012, lead the cava scores, consolidating its leadership among great wines.<\/p>\n

Therefore we can say again that the best cava in Spain is from Maresme<\/a>, specifically from Alella<\/a><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A cava with its own personality, elegant and with enormous freshness<\/strong>. A freshness that lasts after 10 years of waiting and perseverance, and which according to Josep Maria Pujol-Busquets is the sum of several components: “the long ageing, the grape’s own characteristics, the Saul\u00f3 soil where the vines grow and the unique climate of the area”.<\/p>\n

Alta Alella 10 is made with a selection of the best grapes from the Vallcirera estate, a small corner of the Alta Alella vineyards that are classified as a Qualified Site.<\/p>\n

The whole grain is subjected to a very gentle pressing and the first fermentation is carried out in French oak barrels. Subsequently, the Traditional Method is applied and the wine is aged for a minimum of ten years.<\/p>\n
