Muntanya Natural Park in Caldetas, a Mediterranean oasis

The Natural Park of Can Muntanyá, in Cades d’Estrac, is a park where you can walk with stunning seafront views of Maresme region.

Throughout this walk, you will enjoy of a stunning views of Caldetas and of the sea, immersed in a Mediterranean forest and enjoying the silence and tranquility.

This park was the garden of Adolf Montanyà’s house (born in Granollers)who, on his return from Cuba in 1934, built his house in Caldetas. Currently is the Palau Foundation. Since 1987 it is a public park.

The park of Can Muntanyá, is located in the south of the Puig Castellar mountain. We will find in it, the second most important archaeological Iberian remains of Maresme region, after Burriac’s settlement.

Along roads and paths, we will pass through idyllic corners with benches from which we enjoy of the maritime landscape, ponds, a large variety of trees and native plants such as mimosas, lilies, rosebushes, medicinal plants …, until we reach the top where the Tower of the Enchanted is located , an emblematic defense fortification of Caldetas. This Tower of the Enchanted has a legend about a family of Caldetas, his daughter and the medicinal waters of it.
