The Top of the High Standing

Near Barcelona, the Maresme region is the best place to live and raise children in a healthy residential area, away from pollution. We have verified that there is no place near Barcelona that offers a better quality of life, with extensive green areas. The entire Serralada del Litoral is a real luxury, a green lung in which to walk, and be on contact with nature. A region with very long and familiar beaches, and lovely restaurants, where to have some grilled sardines becomes a pleasure. Now, the question is ¿where? The answer should be in any of its charming villages and beautiful urbanizations.

In Maresme there are lots of towns with urbanizations with large residential properties that have not ceased to be revalued. Also the villages centers have also become very suitable places to live. Urbanizations such as Montcabrer, La Llobera, Carlos Tolrà or that of Sant Crist in Cabrils. Or Supermaresme, in Llavaneres, a large residential area with extra services for its owners and private security. Mention two more, in Teià is Sant Berger, a newly urbanization where we find large houses and sea views, or the Vinya for its orientation, location and good communications. There are many areas in Maresme that are highly valued to establish residence.

It is love history. The name same, Maresme, that has the sea in its name. The whole region has a privilege situation between sea and mountains. From almost anywhere we have beautiful sea views. The long beach’s offer a unique space in summer to have a bathe or practice water sports, or at night to dinner or have a dinner or drink in many of its beach bars. The sea it’s in the whole region life.

In Maresme there you will find everything you look for. A proximity trade in each of its villages that cover almost any need for food or products necessary for everyday life. Large shoppings malls, municipal markets and weekly markets. Everywhere you live there is very good trade.

The restaurants in Maresme are endless. There are restaurants with a long tradition such as the Hispania de Arenys de Mar, founded in 1952 by the Reixach, Paquita and Lolita sisters, or the Hostal de la Plaça, in Cabrils. There are also very good seafood restaurants, Mediterranean cuisine, daily menus, and all kinds of world’s cuisines.

In Maresme there are some products with international renown such as DO Alella wine, Llavaneres peas or strawberries from Sant Pol. Also highlight seafood products that are commercialized in La Lonja of Arenys de Mar. In addition, in many of its villages we can find delicious typical desserts such as the “cremat” of Premià or Coca de Llavaneres.

The school offer in the Maresme region is very complete. Not only are there numerous public and concerted schools, but there is also a huge offer of very high quality international private schools.

First of all the nature environment. Mountains, forests and vineyards with the sea as a backdrop offer moments of great beauty. In Maresme we also have a rich colonial and modernist architecture, numerous archaeological sites, castles, wineries, even cemeteries in which great architected interest. In the tourist offices we can find numerous guided tours. We cannot forget that there are a good number of interesting museums.

Maresme, from north to south, has the train that communicates to Barcelona. There are also urban and intercity bus lines. It is a region very well connected with public transport, and also with private transport by a highway that has an access from all Maresme villages.
