Today, Monday June 8th, Maresme will be on Phase 2.

Good news for the region. The north of Maresme entered Phase 2 on June 1, while the rest of the region remained in Phase 1. The good epidemiological evolution allows for further progress in the lack of confidence.

In the north of Maresme, by continuing in Phase 2, the measures to be adopted will not change. From Arenys de Mar to the north, the specific rules of this phase therefore follow.

On the other hand, most of the towns in Maresme, from Canet de Mar to the south, advance in the de-escalation process and go from Phase 1 to Phase 2. From June 8 the Alt Pirineu and Aran, Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre advance to Phase 3, and the rest of Catalonia will be in Phase 2.

The areas of Barcelona city, Metropolitana Norte (where Maresme is located) and Metropolitana Sur have been, since last week, a single health region, a fact that allows mobility between the different municipalities in this area.

What can be done in Phase 2?

Those are some of the main activities that can be carried out in Phase 2:

• The school year will resume in September with some limitations, although Educació has planned that the centers can open in this Phase 2 to do tutorials. In no case to make classes.
• There are no time slots for walking or playing sports, although those for vulnerable people over 70 years of age who maintain the departure times from 10 / 12.00 and from 19.00 to 20.00 hrs.
• Meetings of up to 15 people, at home or in public space.
• Baths are authorized on the beaches for sports and leisure use in groups of up to 15 people (4 m2 are assigned for each bather) and in recreational pools by appointment.

• In the cultural section, facilities reopen with 30% of the public and shows can be held in closed venues with less than 50 people.
• You can perform outdoor shows with a maximum of 400 people as long as they are seated.
• Bars and restaurants can open to the public with 40% of the tables inside.
• They can open worship spaces with 50% of the capacity.
• Burials can be carried out with 25 people outdoors and 15 indoors.
• Weddings are authorized with a maximum of 100 guests and with a 50% occupancy of the space.
• Shopping centers can raise blinds with 30% capacity in common areas and 40% in establishments.

• Hunting and sport fishing are allowed.
  Sports centers can open by appointment and with 30% of capacity. They can be used in the changing rooms.
  The use of the mask in public spaces is still mandatory unless the safety distance of 2 meters can be maintained.
