This long region stretching north of Barcelona has 30 towns of which 16 are on the coast, with a population between them of around 440,000 inhabitants and a total of 52 kilometres of coastline between Montgat (to the south) and Malgrat de Mar (to the north). The coastline offers 55 medium and coarse golden sand beaches, supplying 37 kilometres of seafront. We have from large sandy beaches to rocky coves with an average width of approximately 55 metres.
