Viles Florides is a movement promoted by the Confederación de Horticultura Ornamental de Catalunya (CHOC) to recognize the municipalities that work to improve green areas.
For Viles Florides, landscaping goes beyond providing pleasant spaces and takes into account values such as the protection of green spaces, the improvement of the quality of life of its neighbors, the state and conservation of urban furniture, the presence of playgrounds, social awareness through sustainable policies or the development of local economies through the attractiveness of urban parks and gardens.
Viles Florides is a recognition of the work of the municipalities to improve the urban space.
Currently in Catalonia there are 142 distinguished municipalities such as Vila Florida and as a novelty, this year 2020, Andorra adds its first “parroquias” to the movement.
