The New York Times has published a list of cities where you have a luxury trip for much less than you think and Barcelona appears as the first on the list.
Barcelona has become much more affordable in the last year, and now you can achieve a high level trip with an acceptable budget.
Of course, the idea of what a luxury trip can vary according to who says it. For some, it means hotels with butlers, luxury sheets and first class flights; for others, it’s about going to restaurants with three Michelin stars and occasionally hiring a private guide and a luxury car.
Luxury homes in Barcelona in residential neighborhoods offer better value than those found in tourist areas.
According to the prestigious American newspaper “The locals make lunch their biggest meal of the day, and visitors should do it too, since they can take advantage of the daily menus at a good price in the best restaurants.”
They even dare to compose a menu and its price: “An entree, main course, dessert, wine and coffee costs around 20 euros (about 23 dollars), for example, compared to 50 euros at dinner”
In short, it does not matter how you define a high-end trip. What matters is that it does not have to have an astronomical price.
